About
Oral Administrator
I'm Lori Gardner. I am a former school teacher, so I know from experience the challenges that teachers face in multi-tasking in the classroom. Students can have a vast array of academic capabilities in the same classroom. When some students are required to have their assignments (or even just some of their assignments) read aloud to them, it can take away valuable time from helping other students. It can also cause embarrassment to some of your students when they are read to by the teacher. When you can have those students get on a computer with a headset and have the material read to them at their own pace and without the eyes and ears of the other students focused on them, it is a win-win situation. The stigma of having to have material read to them is lifted and you, as the teacher, have more time to assist other students with questions.
